Project Description

The Binhai Bay Bridge in Dongguan City is east-west oriented. It is planned to be an urban trunk road with a total length of 973.6m, a stake number range of K0+893.2~K1+866.8, starting from the west abutment of Binhai Bay Bridge and ending at the east abutment of Binhai Bay Bridge. The bridge adopts a split steel box girder, a single tower space torsion cable plane cable-stayed bridge structure, with a span of (60+200+200+60) m, and an auxiliary pier and a transition pier are set on the east and west sides respectively.

Hl-Kattor supplied 32 sets of 1000T Synchronous Jacking systems, 16 sets of one system controlling two hydraulic pump stations, a PLC subcontrol system, and other equipment. The construction equipment supplied by HL Kattor has a great contribution to maintaining the high standard and quality of Binhai Bay Bridge.

On both the east and west banks, the steel box girder of the Binhai Bay Bridge is pushed toward the center before being closed at the main tower. In the assembly area on both sides, there are 16 sets of synchronized jacking and weighing systems. The entire bridge has 12 pairs of hydraulic lifting piers. On each group of hydraulic piers, four sets of 1000-ton synchronous jacking and weighing systems are placed, for a total of 48 sets of synchronous jacking and weighing systems. 56 sets of 1000-ton walking jacks are put up for the entire bridge in consideration of the requirement to transition a set of synchronous jacking and weighing systems from the assembly platform to the front temporary pier.
