Project Description

The 52-kilometer Kuala Lumpur MRT Line 2 spans from Shuangxi Maonuo to Putrajaya, Malaysia's new administrative hub, and includes 38.7 kilometers of overhead structures. The span of the bridge being built ranges from 15 meters to a maximum of 45 meters. The bridge is made to be put together one span at a time. The maximum longitudinal slope is 3%, the maximum height of the pier is 26 meters, the minimum radius of the route's curves is 275 meters, and the maximum total weight of the entire span section is 640 tons. The section is a precast concrete box girder with two types—monorail beam and double rail beam—to choose from. 3.25m long, 11.18m broad, and 2.57m high are the maximum overall dimensions.

The full suspension segmental assembly bridge erecting machine was designed by the engineers of HL-Katter using the JP700-40 bridge erecting machine's construction plan and project specifications. The equipment had a full suspension capability of 700 tons and can handle spans as short as 45 meters.
